Attendees: Doug Lohmeier, John Ranz, Bill Puthoff, Jack Cameron, Chief Korte & Mike Hauck
I. Police
• Special appointments- Chief Korte presented the specialist appointments for 2011; committee had no issues and recommended to proceed as presented for March meeting.
• Other items- Chief Korte presented an overview of current ordinances for Bike Paths at the request of Councilman Vonderhaar. The subcommittee at the recreation department would like to have a policy that is consistent with surrounding communities. Since Evendale does not officially have any designated bike paths currently, the committee was in agreement to repeal the current ordinances.
II. Fire
• Monthly Report Format- Copies of the annual 2010 report is in council mail boxes.
• Truck Update -Mike Hauck reported a pre-construction meeting was held on 2/14/11 for specification review of the new apparatus, changes/corrections were documented and a revised design specification document will be sent to Chief Cruse for his sign off and approval. Delivery of the equipment is expected in late 2011.
III. Other Items
Jack Cameron brought us up-to-date on re-development of the old PNC Bank on Reading Road. The doctors group that runs the Evendale Surgical Center is working on designs for a new building on the site and will incorporate a new traffic pattern for the development.
Mr. Cameron also brought to the committees attention the Clerk is requesting if members need a hard copy of the monthly reports, either electronically or hard copy. She can post them on the website electronically for all to review.
